Invitation to Participate: Labour Council Forum – February 23, 2023

Are you an OSSTF/FEESO Bargaining Unit delegate for your local Labour Council?

OSSTF/FEESO is hosting a provincial forum on Labour Councils as part of our Strategic Action Plan on Organizing for Better Schools, Stronger Communities.

Labour Councils are essential to building Labour solidarity and linking our locals to communities. We hope to hear from OSSTF/FEESO members who attend local activities and meetings of their Labour Council.

The Forum will take place over Zoom and will convene Labour Council activists from across OSSTF/FEESO’s membership to hear from each other and share their experience while participating in actions and activities of their Labour Council.

We encourage Presidents and Executives from Bargaining Units, who represent OSSTF/FEESO at their Labour Councils, to provide their analysis of their participation. We will break out regional groups and through facilitated discussion, we will identify core themes and needs of Districts and Bargaining Units affiliated to their Labour Council.

Date: February 23rd, 2023 Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Participants will be able to expense dependent care and dinner costs for attending this event as per the Federation Activity Allowable Expenditure Guidelines. Participants who require ‘time release’ to attend this event, please contact your Bargaining Unit President to confirm eligibility and processing requirements.
