Don’t Shortchange Education – Talking Points for Friends and Family

As spring holidays are upon us and bargaining continues, now is a great time to connect with friends and family and discuss what is really happening in Ontario’s schools and on campuses under the Ford government.

OSSTF/FEESO is encouraging Members to share information on how the current provincial government is deliberately shortchanging public education. It’s a great opportunity to highlight the excellence of publicly funded education and to challenge the misleading information the Ford government and its supporters continue to communicate.

As we continue to bargain, these conversations also serve to identify the government’s pattern of underfunding and underspending in education, their willingness to remove the constitutional rights of workers, its desire to privatize public services, and its general lack of respect for education workers and teachers.
