Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) International Women’s Day (IWD) Pin Project

For more than a decade, the Ontario Federation of Labour’s (OFL) March 8 Project has supported women’s organizations across Ontario as they rise, resist, and organize for equity across our province. OSSTF/FEESO will again be supporting the OFL March 8 Project and encourages all Districts and Bargaining Units to support this worthwhile project. Any surplus from the purchase of pins and posters will be donated to a variety of women’s organizations across the province. In 2023, the OFL donated surpluses from the project to women’s organizations such as:

• Ontario Equal Pay Coalition
• Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care
• Coalition of Black Trade Unionists Hub Club Youth Camp
• Rise Up: Feminist Digital Archive

In 2024, as the project enters its 14th year, the OFL is honouring this work with the theme: “DIVERSITY GROWS OUR STRENGTH.”

Bringing together different perspectives, lived experiences, voices, ideas, and strategies, through inclusion and diversity in our movement, increases our ability to represent the needs and interests of all workers and grows our strength in pushing for positive change for an equitable future for all.

Celebrate diverse women, their persistence, strength, and leadership this International Women’s Day (IWD) by wearing an OFL 2024 Diversity Grows Our Strength lapel pin and displaying our poster in solidarity and sisterhood.

OSSTF/FEESO has supported the work of the OFL and their Women’s Day pin/poster project since its inception over 14 years ago. Click the links below to order your 2024 IWD pins and poster now, not only to show your support and solidarity with women in leadership, but to also raise funds to support organizations helping women and their families.

All orders must be placed by February 9, 2024, to have the pins produced and shipped in advance of IWD. Orders can be placed after February 9, 2024; however, the OFL cannot guarantee receipt of order before March 8, 2024.
