The Provincial Status of Women Committee (SWC) Regional Outreach Workshop (April 2024)

The Provincial Status of Women Committee (SWC) is holding their Regional Outreach Workshop on April 19-20, 2024, for eligible Districts from Region 3 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in London, Ontario and on April 26-27, 2024, for Region 4 at the Westin Toronto Airport Hotel in Mississauga. This event will include workshops delivered by the OSSTF/FEESO Provincial Status of Women Committee, and it will feature strong women activists sharing their stories of activism, including JUNO award-winning singer and Indigenous healer Barbara McIntyre. This workshop is open to the Bargaining Unit/District Status of Women Officers, members of the Bargaining Unit/District Status of Women Committees, new activists, or other interested members if there is no active committee in the district. The Provincial Status of Women Committee will cover limited costs (ex., meals, accommodations, transportation, etc.) for two (2) representatives/designates from each Bargaining Unit. Additional representatives may attend for $350 for one night of accommodation, laid-on meals, and materials. The remainder of the costs will be the responsibility of the District/Bargaining Unit.
