Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) International Women’s Day (IWD) Pin Project 2025 “Women Vote”

As part of the Ontario Federation of Labour’s (OFL) annual International Women’s Day project, we invite you to support the Women Vote Campaign by purchasing the Women Vote lapel pins, shirts, and posters.

Women’s votes shape our communities, our workplaces, and our future. Women have long balanced the demands of work and family while leading on picket lines and fighting for fairness and equality in all aspects of life. Yet, despite their leadership, they remain underrepresented in many sectors, face systemic barriers, such as wage gaps and workplace harassment, and struggle with limited access to essential supports, like affordable childcare.

When women use their collective power to vote, they advocate for policies that create fairness, equity, and opportunity for all workers and their families in their everyday struggles.

• Fair wages and decent work. Women voters demand governments prioritize workers’ rights and ensure good jobs for all.
• Affordable childcare, education, housing, and food. Policies that support families and make it easier to advance and thrive.
• Strong healthcare systems. Women disproportionately shoulder caregiving responsibilities. A government that invests in healthcare benefits entire communities.
• Ending violence against women. Women voting together can push for legislation that protects survivors and holds abusers accountable.
• Addressing inequality. When women vote, they challenge the systems perpetuating inequities and push for fair policies.

• Celebrating the power of women voters who fight for a better future for everyone.
• Raising awareness about the importance of women’s participation in the election process.
• Funding vital services. All surplus from sales is donated to organizations that support women and their families by providing critical services from shelters to counselling and legal services, to job training programs, helping to address issues like poverty, violence, and inequality.
