OSSTF/FEESO is hiring an Additional Qualifications Coordinator (AQ) for a 10-month contract.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation is seeking the services of one individual to serve as Additional Qualifications (AQ) Coordinator in the
Educational Services Department, Professional Services Division. The start date will be determined.
This position is located at the OSSTF/FEESO Provincial Office. Reporting to one of the Directors, the AQ Coordinator is responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of the OSSTF/FEESO Additional Qualification program. Work will primarily be conducted in-person at OSSTF/FEESO Provincial Office in Toronto.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not listed in order of priority)
- Working closely with the Director, Associate General Secretary, and General Secretary, the AQ Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the development, planning, administration, and implementation of the OSSTF/FEESO Additional Qualification program.
- Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the solicitation and recommendation of successful candidates for Course Writers, mapping out plans for course writing, onboarding and training Course Writers, overseeing the writing and ongoing review of courses, and submission for accreditation according to the OCT Additional Qualification Accreditation Resource Guide and relevant regulations and memos.
- Oversee all aspects of AQ Course Instructor hiring and including but not limited to preparing Course Instructor onboarding training, developing and maintaining the AQ Instructor Community page.
- Serving as the Registrar for the OSSTF/FEESO AQ Program with the Ontario College of Teachers, including but not limited to the oversight of all matters related to reporting course completion to the OCT Registrar.
- Ongoing administration and maintenance of the OSSTF/FEESO AQ Program’s internal Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Overseeing and managing the work of the AQ Program Administrative Assistant.
- Serving as the primary contact with the Ontario College of Teachers for the AQ Program.
- Oversee all aspects of the OSSTF AQ Website.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
