Association Canadienne d’éducation de langue française (ACELF)

Taking advantage of the Association Canadienne d’éducation de langue française (ACELF) holding their annual conference in Toronto, members of the Comité de Services en langue française (CSLF) made their first appearance at the national conference October 2025. Very focused on acknowledging and fostering the diverse entry points into French language education (for students) and instruction (for educators), most workshops had a goal of impacting language confidence and identity.

The OSSTF/FEESO Comité des services en langue française Award of Merit

It’s that time of year again! It’s time to nominate someone for the CSLF Award of Merit. Do you know someone who has impacted French learning and engagement in their school community, local district, or at the provincial level? Nominate them for the Prix de mérite du Comité des services de la langue française. The deadline to nominate someone is January 31, 2026: Comité des services en langue française Award of Merit.

The CSLF is interested in the experiences of OSSTF/FEESO members who use French at work or in their daily lives, whether in predominantly French-speaking, bilingual, or English-speaking environments.👉 Join the CSLF to take part in this collective effort to better understand, represent, and support OSSTF/FEESO members who speak or work in French. Submit your application on the OSSTF/FEESO website before March 1, 2026.

We encourage OSSTF/FEESO members to continue celebrating francophone experiences throughout the 2025-2026 school year. Here are some resources & events for ideas. Please share your photos with us as you continue to celebrate la “Francophonie en Ontario” this school year (send to photos@osstf.ca and/or rosemary.judd-archer@osstf.ca).
