Members may only serve on one Provincial standing committee or council at a time, which applies to all standing committees and all deliberative standing councils to which Members are appointed.
The deadline for on-time applications is March 1, 2026, for term vacancies. Applications received after that time will be considered late and will only be considered for appointment if there are insufficient on-time applications for a specific committee/council. Please note, the deadline for co-option applications is May 1, 2026.
There is a Standing Committee and Councils Application Information document available on the website that you may find helpful while filling out your application.
It includes General Information about the Nomination Process for Applicants, the Application Process, Provincial Council Handbook References and the Statement of Needs, which contains helpful information about the mandate and meetings, and other information, for each committee and council. To access this document please log on to the myOSSTF portal by clicking on the following: https://www.osstf.on.ca/services/member-login/members-login/MyOsstf.aspx.
Alternatively, you can follow the navigation path to access the documents: OSSTF/FEESO Website Homepage — Log in — Member Login — Log in using your Member ID — myOSSTF — Leadership à Committees and Councils — Councils à Provincial Council.
