CTF/FCE—Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program

The CTF/FCE is pleased to share further details about applying for the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness program.

This program is available to eligible teachers and early childhood educators who worked in a rural or remote community during the 2025-2026 school year. Eligible educators have 90 days to apply for this benefit after their work period ends. For ease of application and organization, we recommend that this be done every summer following a 10-month work period.

Eligible educators can apply online through their National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) accounts or by mail. For the 2025-2026 school year, we recommend that you apply between July and the end of September 2026. Don’t wait!
