AQ Program Update AQ Course Registration and Course Writing Opportunities
Registration for the inaugural session of the OSSTF/FEESO Additional Qualifications (AQ) Program closes on September 21, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. The Fall 2026 session will run from October 1 to December 4, 2026 and includes Part 1, Part 2, and Specialist courses in First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Studies, Guidance and Career Education, and Special Education.
These courses have been Created by Secondary Teachers for Secondary Teachers. Developed by experienced OSSTF/FEESO members, the courses respond to the realities of teaching in Ontario Grade 9-12 classrooms. The program emphasizes accessibility, inclusivity, and practical strategies that support student engagement in diverse learning environments.
Course fees are $650.00, and Active OSSTF/FEESO Members are eligible for a $50.00 member discount using their district voucher code. District voucher codes can be found through district communication or the MyOSSTF member area of the OSSTF/FEESO website.

OSSTF/FEESO is also seeking members to serve as Course Writers for three new AQ course series that will be developed during the 2026-2027 Federation year:
- Addressing Anti-Black Racism,
- Cooperative Education and
- Teaching English Language Learners.
Applications for course writer positions will be accepted until September 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Course development is scheduled to begin in late October. Interested members are invited to submit their application through the following link: https://bit.ly/4zlHYx9.
