Call for writers—Cognitive Science and Learning Workshop

Illustration: Concept of educational psychology and educational neuroscience

At AMPA 2018, delegates passed a motion, MAC 204-18, which called for the creation of an Educational Services workshop to highlight current research on cognitive science and learning.  The workshop will “highlight current research on cognitive science and how it relates to education and learning. The workshop would also provide participants with the knowledge and skills to seek out pedagogical resources, assess the validity of such resources, and then apply these resources in their own evidence-informed practice.”

We are now looking for 6–8 members to participate in the writing of this workshop.

The ideal applicant to this writing team will have training and/or experience in cognitive psychology and/or research on teaching and learning. Successful applicants must also have strong communication skills. Experience writing and/or presenting workshops would also be an asset.

OSSTF/FEESO values the participation of members with different voices from lived experiences.  We recognize that the selection of candidates for federation positions from members of equity seeking groups is an asset. Self-identification of membership in equity seeking group(s) is voluntary. If you choose to self-identify, please let us know any that apply to you:
