Freedom to Read Week

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The event is organized by the Freedom of Expression Committee of the Book and Periodical Council. The Committee encourages all to get involved and celebrate the week during February 23–29, 2020.

Options include participating in an event listed on the online calendar of Freedom to Read Week events, ordering a Freedom to Read Kit or posters, downloading web banners, becoming a sponsor, and more.
