Call for presenters—Cognitive Science and Learning Workshop

The newest PD workshop from OSSTF/FEESO teaches members about the latest research on cognitive science and learning, and how it can be used with students. The two hour workshop explores the interplay between memory and learning, and how the brain actually learns. It then provides evidence-based strategies and techniques that can be applied in an educational setting with students.

We are looking for members with an interest and/or experience in:

• Cognitive Psychology
• Research in teaching and learning
• Presenting Professional Development

Successful applicants will be invited to presenter training in Toronto. Those who successfully complete this training will then be called upon periodically to present this workshop in pairs at PD events across the province.

Bargaining Unit Presidents will be contacted regarding any individual who are being considered to ensure that time release is possible.
