OSSTF/FEESO is committed to providing members with quality professional development. The Educational Services Department is looking for active members to join the writing team for a new Addressing Anti-Black Racism workshop. Members who are interested should have workshop writing or presentation experience and a strong understanding of the subject matter. Members must also have the ability to obtain time release (that will be paid for by OSSTF/FEESO), and be willing to travel, if required.

This workshop will be developed in conjunction with two members of the OSSTF/FEESO Equity Advisory Workgroup. The content and format of the workshop will be determined by the writing team, and may include information on the origins and causes of anti-Black racism, types of overt and systemic anti-Black racism, and strategies for addressing them.

Completed applications must include:

  1. Submitted application form for Call for writers—Addressing Anti-Black Racism workshop [see below]
  2. Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which is from an OSSTF/FEESO member in good standing.

Applications can be submitted up to 4:00 p.m. October 2, 2020. Any questions can be addressed by email to Peter Bates.

Bargaining Unit Presidents will be contacted regarding any individual who are being considered to ensure that time release is possible.
