Have you heard about the Women’s Advocate Program?

The Women’s Advocate Program was developed to provide support to members experiencing or impacted by domestic violence. Whether you’re a member living in a domestic violence situation or you are worried about someone living in a domestic violence situation, your Women’s Advocate is here to help.

OSSTF/FEESO knows, in addition to employers, unions have a role to play in protecting and supporting women in need. OSSTF/FEESO has trained over 100 Women’s Advocates, in many Districts across Ontario. Training was provided in partnership with the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children.

OSSTF/FEESO is happy to announce that the Women’s Advocate Program is running in many Districts.

Please look for posters advertising the Women’s Advocate Program and the Women’s Advocate for your worksite. If you or someone you know are facing domestic violence, the Women’s Advocate is there to help. For information on how you can be a Women’s Advocate, or to contact a Women’s Advocate, contact your District office.
