OFL Activist Assembly—Sunday, March 6, 2022

With the provincial election call anticipated on May 4, OSSTF/FEESO is urging members to become active in events leading up to the election campaign. On Sunday, March 6, the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) will be hosting the OFL Activist Assembly from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This virtual event will feature many discussions on issues including health care, K-12 education, post-secondary education, decent work, climate justice, injured workers, migrant workers, anti-poverty, housing, disability justice, Autism solidarity, legal, and other issues. The day will also concentrate on mobilization training and resources for the election campaign.

The agenda for the Activist Assembly will include:

  • Reviewing the key issues facing Ontario workers and their families;
  • Learning how to use the Workers First Pledge to engage co-workers, family, and friends in hundreds of one-on-one conversations;
  • Discussing how to mobilize thousands of people for the province-wide day of action for a workers first agenda on May 1;
  • Joining regional break-out groups to develop an organizing plan for May 1 in your own community;
  • Meeting activists from across Ontario and in your community who want to be part of this growing movement.

OSSTF/FEESO members are encouraged to register online for the Activist Assembly.
