Appointment of Associate General Secretary, Professional Services Division

The Provincial Executive is pleased to announce that Joel Duff has been appointed as the incoming Associate General Secretary, Professional Services Division.

Joel brings over 20 years of experience working as a campaign organizer, communicator, and senior manager in the labour movement and the education sector.

Joel is coming to OSSTF/FEESO from his role as the Associate Executive Director of the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA). Previously, he served as the Political Assistant to the President of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the Communications Director for the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL).

Joel has extensive experience providing strategic political advice for union executives and leading political action, communications, and education for labour unions. He has also directed union policy and research, international affairs, health & safety, and environmental action.

Over his career, Joel has demonstrated a commitment to equity and social justice, capacity building, and winning campaigns for legislative victories that benefit working people and protect public services.
