Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF/FCE) News and Updates: 2023 CTF/FCE Annual General Meeting

The Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF) / Fédération canadienne des enseignantes et des enseignants (FCE) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) from July 12, 2023 to July 14, 2023. The Provincial Executive is pleased to announce that at the AGM President Karen Littlewood was elected to serve as one of the Vice-Presidents on the Executive Board. This role is served concurrently with her term as OSSTF/FEESO’s President. In 2018 OSSTF/FEESO rejoined CTF/FCE, the national federation of teacher organizations, to contribute to its vision for quality publicly funded public education. President Littlewood looks forward to advancing the interests of Teachers and Education Workers through advocating for public education, collaborating with education affiliates across Canada, and supporting critical research and international education priorities.

CTF/FCE was founded in 1920 and represents over 365,000 teachers and education workers across Canada. The CTF/FCE is also an affiliate of Education International, which represents more than 32-million educators worldwide.

OSSTF/FEESO congratulates the new Executive Board:

  • Anne Vinet-Roy, Vice-President from AEFO (Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens)

  • Jenny Regal, Vice-President from ATA (Alberta Teachers’ Association)
  • Justin Matchett, Vice-President from NTA (Nunavut Teachers’ Association)
  • Karen Littlewood, Vice-President from OSSTF/FEESO (Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation)
