Important Survey on the Provision of Home Care in Ontario
When it comes to health care in Ontario, it isn’t just hospitals and long-term care homes that are in crisis. Increasingly, it is clear that people living at home who require care also are experiencing difficulty.
In order to better identify and assess the problems with home care, the Active Retirement Members (ARM) Council of OSSTF/FEESO is conducting an online survey on the provision of Home Care services in Ontario. The survey will be available January 31 to February 14, 2024.
If you have applied for any home care support services for yourself or for someone for whom you have acted as a caregiver (currently, or in the recent past) please take a few minutes to fill out the survey by clicking on this link: https://forms.gle/vECPY3StHh4gT4bNA
In May 2023, Provincial ARM Council of OSSTF/FEESO approved conducting this survey. The intent is to find out how satisfied OSSTF/FEESO members are with the home care services currently available. The results of the survey will be used to lobby the Ontario government and the opposition parties to address the situation.
Any personal information collected will be kept confidential and the results will be anonymous.
Ian Beaton is the Chair of the Active Retirement Members (ARM) Council.
