Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF) Special Recognition Award

OSSTF/FEESO is proud to support the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF) Special Recognition Award. This award is presented annually to an organization, group, or individual in recognition of outstanding contributions to publicly funded education in Ontario, beyond the school board level.

A nominated individual, group, or organization must have the goal of improving publicly funded education in Ontario. Their contributions must have been sustained over an extended period of time. Their contributions may be at the local or provincial level. An individual cannot be nominated for their work as a school board employee or for work that originated at the school board level. The deadline for nominations to be received at OTF is March 31, 2024.

Anyone can nominate an individual, group, or organization for this award. This includes parents, students, teachers, administrators, or the general public.

The recipient of the award will be notified in May 2024 and will be recognized with a certificate at the annual meeting of the OTF Board of Governors in August 2024. The monetary prize for the award is $1,000. This monetary amount may be directed to the award recipient or to an educational charitable organization or other worthwhile educational cause designated by the recipient.
