2024 Education Week: May 6–May 10, 2024

The theme for OSSTF/FEESO Education Week May 6–10, 2024 is Public Schools, The Heart of Your Community. This year, more than ever, it will be important for our members to recognize Education Week and to get involved in their union. Teachers and education workers should be proud of highlighting their work in their schools, neighborhoods and communities. OSSTF/FEESO has developed several graphics that you can share on social media that focus on teachers and education workers and the services they provide the students of Ontario.

Education Week, created by OSSTF/FEESO in 1930, is a time to highlight the work performed by teachers and education workers for the students in Ontario from kindergarten to post-secondary. There are many actions that you can take to highlight your work. Some of the recommended activities that you can undertake during Education Week are:

• Share our graphics on your social media channels.
• Be your Bargaining Unit representative on your school’s parent council (ask your Bargaining Unit Executive how)
• Ask your union how you can get involved.
