Moose Hide Campaign Day—May 16, 2024

Thursday, May 16, 2024, is Moose Hide Campaign Day. Activities will take place across the country, including a live stream of a Moose Hide event in Victoria, British Columbia, airing from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.

The Moose Hide Campaign began as a BC-born Indigenous-led grassroots movement to engage men and boys in ending violence towards women and children. It has since grown into a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians from local communities, First Nations, governments, schools, colleges/universities, police forces and many other organizations – all committed to taking action to end this violence.

The Moose Hide Campaign is not just about words, it’s about actions. It’s about honouring, respecting, and protecting the women and children in our lives. The moose hide pin is a symbol of this commitment. By wearing it, we speak out against gender-based and domestic violence. To date, over four million moose hide pins have been distributed free of charge across Canada.
