Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF/FCE) News and Updates: Celebrating Africa and People of African Descent

As part of the Canadian Teachers’ Federation’s (CTF/FCE) commitment to promoting awareness and understanding of the International Decade for People of African Descent, CTF/FCE is seeking educators to facilitate student discussions and engagement focused on a wide variety of issues around anti-racism and to promote the celebration of, appreciation for, and understanding of the contributions by Africa and People of African descent.

The CTF/FCE is embarking on exploring anti‑racism, focusing on perspectives of Africa and Africans in Canadian society, with a working title of “Celebrating Africa and People of African Descent”.

Your participation is crucial in facilitating meaningful courageous conversations, encouraging critical thinking, and promoting inclusivity, where students can explore issues related to recognition, justice, and development for people of African descent.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete this form by June 28, 2024.
