Toronto Pride 2024

OSSTF/FEESO has been a proud participant in the Pride Toronto annual celebrations for several years and will be involved again in 2024. Founded in 1981, Pride Toronto continues a legacy that is deeply intertwined with the rich, progressive history of Toronto’s queer community. The festival is one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world, bringing together people from all over Ontario, other provinces and countries to celebrate the history, courage, diversity, and future of Ontario’s 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

Pride Toronto 2024 takes place from June 1 to June 30, 2024. Toronto Pride month festivities culminate with a festival on June 29-30 with events and presentations. On Friday, June 28, members of the Trans community and their supporters will celebrate with the Trans Pride Rally and March. The Dyke Rally and March is on Saturday, June 29. The Toronto Pride Parade, the festival’s largest event, is on Sunday, June 30. Please go to the Pride Toronto website for the exact times and locations of these and other Pride events.

OSSTF/FEESO has a permit for a marching contingent in the Pride Toronto Parade on Sunday, June 30. There will be music, t-shirts for marchers, and swag to hand out along the parade route. We encourage Districts and their members to attend this festival and end their visit by marching with OSSTF/FEESO in the parade. We have coordinated an information booth at the Street Fair on June 29 and 30. Members are encouraged to volunteer to take a shift as an OSSTF/FEESO ambassador. The booth location, t-shirt pick-up location, parade schedule, and marching order will be released as soon as the information is available, and we will share the details via social media, through Update, and on our website (www.osstf.on.ca).
