Survey on Ethical Leadership and Teacher Professional Wellbeing

OSSTF/FEESO is encouraging teacher and occasional teacher members to participate in a new study on whether the ethical leadership practices have an impact on teacher wellbeing. The study is being undertaken by Natasha Cordick (Faculty of Education, Wilfrid Laurier University).

Within the context of this study, ethical leadership refers to showing concern for moral values, clear communication of ethical standards, modelling ethical standards, demonstrating trustworthiness and lack of bias, and maintaining fairness and objectivity when evaluating performance. This research will provide insights into the impact of ethical leadership on the professional lives of educators and contribute to a broader understanding of factors that improve or inhibit teacher wellbeing.

Participation in this study is voluntary and involves completing an anonymous online survey, which should take approximately 30 minutes. The survey is available in English only and will be open until October 31, 2024.

The survey is available here: https://wlu.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_di3ww7SfIFp8lD0

If you have questions about the survey itself, please contact Natasha Cordick at cord7250@mylaurier.ca.
