Queen’s University Study: Teachers’ Engagement with Individual Education Plans for Secondary Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

OSSTF/FEESO is pleased to endorse an important study being conducted by Alexandra Minuk and Jordan Shurr (Queen’s University Faculty of Education). The researchers are interested in understanding how teachers interpret and implement requirements of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Autism. That is, they would like to know how teachers access IEPs and how the integrate them into their planning.

Teacher and Occasional Teacher members who would like to participate in this study can do so by taking part in a short survey here: https://queensu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a4eTCxnB1HdMRAG.

The study is voluntary, confidential, and open to all teacher and occasional teacher members. Members can participate until April 15, 2025.

If you have questions about the research study, please contact Alexandra Minuk (11alm28@queensu.ca) or Dr. Jordan Shurr (j.shurr@queensu.ca).
