OPSEU/SEPFO Worth Fighting For Picket Lines

Worth Fighting For. OPSEU/SEFPO

OSSTF/FEESO is advising that OPSEU/SEFPO workers at 27 community organizations and agencies across Ontario are in strike action, with some beginning as early as this past weekend and most started on Monday, May 25, 2026. These workers, numbering close to 4,000, are acting in response to chronic underfunding that has strained critical community and social services, leaving vulnerable people without adequate support.

The dispute reflects broader concerns about the sustainability of publicly funded services, including staffing shortages, inadequate wages, and delays in compensation owed following the repeal of Bill 124. Workers and their union emphasize that the provincial government must address funding gaps to resolve the situation.

OSSTF/FEESO is encouraging local leaders and members to show solidarity and support for OPSEU/SEFPO workers during this period of labour disruption.

More information about the strike can be found here.

A list of affected locations to help coordinate local awareness and support efforts can be found here.
