Paint the Province Purple

OSSTF/FEESO encourages members to support CUPE-OSBCU by taking  part in their action to Paint the Province Purple in support of publicly funded education. This is taking place on Saturday, June 6^th, 2026, in a community near you.

CUPE-OSBCU represents over 57,000 education workers across the province in the public, catholic, English and French school systems. OSSTF/FEESO is working effectively alongside OSBCU, ETFO, OECTA and AEFO to ensure bargaining wins are achieved collectively.

CUPE-OSBCU locals have organized door-to-door canvasses in Progressive Conservative ridings and community outreach events across Ontario to speak with parents, caregivers, and community members about how the Provincial Government’s understaffing crisis is affecting schools and students. Participants will be invited to sign petitions and display lawn and window signs in support of publicly funded education.

We ask that you please share around and RSVP for a canvass or outreach event in your area. Everyone is welcome to participate—teachers, education workers, parents, community members, and children.

No experience is necessary. Local outreach leads will welcome participants, provide a brief orientation, and distribute all required materials, including lawn and window signs.
