Status of Women Officer—Region 1 Training
The Provincial Status of Women Committee (SWC) is holding their regional training from May 29 to May 30, 2026, for Region 1 Status of Women Officers. This training will be held in Thunder Bay at the Delta by Marriott Thunder Bay (2240 Sleeping Giant Parkway, Thunder Bay, ON P7A 0E7) and is only open to Status of Women Officers from Region 1.
This training will focus on strengthening local capacity to support and advance equity, advocacy, and priorities impacting women within the Federation. Participants will deepen their understanding of key issues affecting women in education and within union spaces and explore strategies to support this work at the local level. Training will include workshops delivered by members of the OSST/FEESO Provincial Status of Women Committee, Provincial staff, Educators Financial Group, and White Ribbon. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect and build networks with colleagues from across the region.
Each Bargaining Unit is eligible to send their designated Status of Women Officer. Additional delegates may attend at a cost of $250.00 per member for one night accommodation and materials. The remainder of the costs will be the responsibility of the District/Bargaining Unit.
Online registration will open on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 and close on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Click the yellow “Login” button in the upper-right corner of the screen, select “Member Login”, enter your information, and click “Log In”. This will take you to the “Registered User” platform, where the registration link is listed in the “Upcoming” section.
