Call for Participants—Study on Well-Being in Secondary School English Teachers

OSSTF/FEESO is encouraging eligible members to participate in a new study on the well-being of English teachers. Although there is a growing number of studies relating to professional well-being in general, this study will add to our understanding by focusing on secondary school teachers who are teaching English courses.
Zabel Ashukian, a PhD candidate at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, is also an English Department Head and a member of OSSTF/FEESO. Her extensive expertise and experience uniquely qualify her to lead this research. In support of her research, Zabel is seeking OSSTF/FEESO members who teach English courses to participate in interviews and focus groups. The discussions will focus on working conditions and the factors that support teacher well-being.
Participation will be in English, and all teachers who teach English courses (i.e., courses starting with Eng) at the secondary level are eligible. Your participation will not only contribute to the advancement of our
