Blocks with the words APPLY NOW

OSSTF/FEESO remains committed to supporting research into understanding and combatting all forms of school violence. Sheena Brennan, a Master’s candidate at the University of Windsor is undertaking research to understand teacher experiences of unwanted sexual behaviours from students. OSSTF/FEESO encourages all teacher members who have experienced workplace sexual violence originating from students to consider participating in a 60–90 minute confidential interview to support Brennan’s work.

Brennan’s research aims to center teachers’ voices to gain a deeper understanding of how Ontario K-12 teachers experience, interpret, and respond to incidents of sexual harassment by students, as well as how institutional policies, procedures, and supports shape these experiences.

The study will:

  • Amplify teachers’ lived experiences that are often underrepresented in policy discussions.
  • Contribute to evidence-based recommendations for more responsive reporting processes and support.

Participation in this study is voluntary. Interviews will be conducted virtually and in English only.

If you are interested in participating, or if you have questions about the study, please contact Sheena Brennan at: brennans@uwindsor.ca.
