OSSTF/FEESO extends its education, labour, and social solidarity around the world, in part through our International Assistance Program. Annually, the Federation commits funds to support projects that reflect our commitment to protecting and enhancing public education, social justice, and equality in various parts of the world.

For over 20 years OSSTF/FEESO has funded projects and programs ranging from specialized training and education for girls and women, to support for well-water projects, to helping with the purchase classroom materials for schools in developing nations.

Part of this work has supported projects of the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees. This past month, UNHCR, The Refugee Agency, recognized OSSTF/FEESO’s ongoing commitment to international development, the rights of educational workers, access to free and open education, community literacy and numeracy, and empowerment opportunities for girls and young women.
